The Appbistro team consists of developers, technologists, designers, and customer service experts.

Ryan Merket, co-founder and CEO

Before co-founding Appbistro, Ryan Merket was a Developer Relations Manager at Facebook, where he got to work with a ton of great brands with their Facebook strategies. Before Facebook, he masterminded Ping.fm, which lets social network users make simultaneous posts to more than 30 different sites. Ryan is married, has one cat, and loves college football.

Nalin Mittal, co-founder and CTO

Nalin is a true innovator within his field, at least that's what the United States Patent and Trademark Office thinks. During an almost-five-year run with the Data Advantage Group, in which he worked on the company's flagship product, MetaCenter, Mittal was issued two patents for his work in metadata management technologies. Shortly thereafter, Mittal launched Blu Sky labs, a consulting agency, and worked with Zappos to engineer a new social shopping experience called My.Zappos.com. These days, he works as the chief technology officer for his latest launch: Appbistro.

The Crew

Hunter Block, VP of Business Development

Hunter carries with him, in addition to a Canon Digital Rebel camera, a background in sales, marketing, and startup strategy. His diverse experience includes three years at ZURB, an Interaction Design and Strategy firm that has worked with over 75 startups and large companies. At ZURB, Hunter was fortunate enough to work with great clients like Facebook, Photobucket, Qik, and eBay helping solve business problems with Design. Before joining the Appbistro team, Block tackled his most ambitious venture yet by launching Napkin Drawn Ventures LLC, a startup sales and monetization consulting firm. Hunter is passionate about helping people grow their business with customer empathy, design and technology and enjoys traveling, practicing his Spanish and taking photos.

Tim Jones, Community Director

Tim is a likable guy whom you could easily associate with scooters and burritos. His appetite for a good time, combined with his easy-going demeanor, have made him an ideal coordinator and community manager for companies like Metacafe and MC Hammer's DanceJam. After a short break from the world of startups, Jones joined Appbistro as a jack of many trades, including design, client coordination, blog management and app reviews.

Rhett Stonelake

He’s a music man and vegan who comes from a background of hard work and hustlin’. Rhett Stonelake is the man who’s pounding the pavement and building relationships between Appbistro and the developer community we work to serve. After studying marketing and business administration in college, Stonelake put his knowledge to use on the road marketing his band, Barcelona. Now, he’s reaching out to the developers, social media experts and viral marketers to promote and build the work of Appbistro.
